F1: Hi Laura. What happened to you?

F2: I’m sorry I’m late. You’ll never guess what happened!

F1: Tell me all about it.

F2: I left the house in a hurry this morning, and I forgot my umbrella. It wasn’t raining much, so I didn’t think I’d need it. But then the rain got heavier and I just wanted to catch my bus!

F1: Then what happened?

F2: Well, I was running to catch the bus, but I just missed it! Then another bus came and I was so relieved! But the bus was very full and it didn’t stop.

F1: Oh dear. That sounds terrible!

F2: And that’s not all. When I was waiting for another bus, a car drove past and splashed me! I’m so wet now!

F1: Well, I can see that. You should go and get dry.
